Ponderings

I'm currently working on a series of paintings that are all a bit mystical and magical. I'm not sure where they have come from or where they are going, but I'm enjoying the work. 

I'm considering approaching some agents in the near future, so I'm working towards gathering a coherent body of work to send, which is sometimes a little tricky. 

Has anyone had any experience with agents that they'd care to share?

So I'm working on a new project at the moment. I'm hoping to have a collection of these portraits made in to a book. More to follow!

I've been trying to dedicate a couple of hours a day to personal work. While it's wonderful that I have plenty of commissions and regular work... I do tend to neglect the development of my creative ideas. It's been lovely to sit and draw from my imagination, without the pressure of a brief. 

This evening I've been working on a new series of portraits, which I will be able to show you soon.

It turns out that I'm a bit of a night owl at the moment. I've never been much of a morning person.

This Year...

I love the start of a new year. It's nice to feel a sense of closure  and at the same time a new beginning. 

This year will be very different for me, but I'm excited about it. I hope to fill it with adventures and laughter.

Wedding!

I received an email yesterday 

with some lovely feedback about my wedding stationery. 

I was so pleased to be involved with this wedding; 

the theme was a joy to work with!

Exciting times!

I'm so happy to see some of my designs featured in Marks and Spencer.

The brief I was given was to create some illustrations using the combination of William Shakespeare and gardening.

It was great fun.

Weather

It's difficult to know what to wear in this weather… One minute it's chilly, the next it's warm! Bear lady has opted for a tank-top. In her opinion it's the 'best of both worlds'.
