A new place to live...

I'm enjoying living in our new place. It was a bit stressful moving everything, but it's been fun finding places for all our things. I also have a nice spacious room to do my drawings in. Lovely! I've recently been a little bit addicted to painting furniture to..... Some of it has little bird friends on! 

It has been a busy week.

What a week...

I have had quite a few wedding invitation commissions of late. I have very much enjoyed listening to some wonderful ideas and turning them into designs. 

The actual making of the invitations takes a rather long time. I end up surrounded by paper and ribbon, but it's always nice to see them all stacked up in a box ready to post....

Do you ever get that post office feeling? I love going into my local post office armed with parcels and then leaving empty handed. Sometimes I skip back home! 

Hello everybody! 

It has been such a long time since I make a blog post. 

My poor macbook broke just before Christmas, leaving me with lots of work to do and no way of doing it! 

I have now got a shiny new macbook pro and it's wonderful. 

I hope you all had a fun festive season. Mine flew by in a flash but it was very lovely all the same. 

Have you made a reading list for the new year? As you probably know I don't own a television, which means I have more time for reading and drawing. (Which are both better activities in my opinion.)

I have been having fun making lots of wedding invitations recently.

The lovely people approached me a while ago and I'm so pleased it's finally finished. I found that taking decent photographs of my work was quite a tricky job, especially as a lot of my drawings are quite delicate. I think I have finally got the hang of it though.

I am so pleased to be part of the Old School Exhibiton at SMUG.

Lots of things.

I have been a terrible blogger of late. I just can't seem to find the time to fit everything into my life at the moment. I am however trying to be a little more organised from now on, so you can expect to see more things popping up on this blog in the coming weeks.

I have been busy designing a new stationery range for my 'not on the high street' shop, which will be appearing soon...... 

I am also really pleased to be a part of SMUG's pop up print shop this year.

Here is a sneak peak of the work I have submitted. 

I can't quite believer it's nearing the end of September. It's my 26th birthday soon. I always thought I'd be a wee bit taller by this time, but oh well! 

I read a wonderful book today.

It is called 

The Kites Are Flying 

and it's written by 

Michael Morpurgo.

It has beautiful illustrations in it by

Laura Carlin.

They compliment the story so beautifully. 

I thoroughly recommend it.
