I need to make a list!

Hello there.

Well! My head is full up with lots of things to do. As you know I recently left my job to begin working freelance. It's rather scary, but I have been enjoying getting stuck into producing some work. It does however, remind me of the wonderful studios at Cambridge School of Art.... How I would love one of those now. Here are some recent ponderings.....

The ones that say 'SMUG' are some possible designs for SMUG-a beautiful shop in Camden.

Birds playing brass instruments? Wouldn't that be a treat.
These are only photographs of my work, so please excuse the quality. Next week will be a scanning week.

I know it's still Summer, but.....

Here are a few of my designs for my Christmas cards this year. I can't help drawing little birds. They have such character and I can draw them whilst sitting in the garden. I always imagine them wearing little outfits. Especially the male sparrow, he looks like he would wear a top and and carry a small cane under his wing.

These birds are getting ready for the festive season, as you can see. I'm quite excited to get them printed and packaged.

Also, remember these funny creatures?

They might just make a reappearance again this year.

Some new friends...

Recently, I have been mostly making some new friends, in the form of sewn brooches.

( I have also ben watching some old Fast Show episodes. Brilliant. )

Do you like them? They're quite small.

I made them especially for a wonderful shop called SMUG in Camden. I feel so happy that the lovely folk at SMUG want to have my work for sale there. Check out their website....

I'm currently designing some prints for them too, so keep your eyes peeled.

Thankfully, I don't think their shop was affected by the awful riots that have been happening across the country. I really am lost for words. It really saddens me.
