This is Henry. He's a rather shy little boy that likes dressing up as a bat. Quite a convincing costume don't you think?

Print, cut, fold.

I now have prints available of some of my recent work....and some very beautiful cards! They will soon be for sale in a little shop near you, or my ETSY shop!

I like these!

I recently discovered Hillery Sproatt's work.

I think these dolls are really beautiful. They're like mixture of lots of different cultures all mixed together. I like they're little serious faces too.
You can see her shop here!

Different places I would like to live. Number two.

Ha Noi, Vietnam.

It's one of the craziest, most colourful, vibrant and friendly place I have ever visited. I would highly recommend it and I really want to go back. Crossing the roads is quite a challange....I got laughed at by a police man when I was waiting for a safe place to spot. You know, just following the green cross code. He waved me along and said, 'Just go.'

I then realised you have to simply walk out into the oncoming sea of mopeds and they weave around you.  If you stop though, you're in trouble.

The people here work every given hour, stopping only to eat. They bring out tiny plastic tables and chairs onto the streets and eat together, cooking on what ever they can. You can't walk a few metres without someone offering you some rice or a beer. It gave me a nice feeling.

Painting is relaxing for me.

I'm thinking about developing these into larger paintings. It's been a long while since I've gotten all messy doing a big painting.

Once again please excuse the bad photographs. I've still not been able to download the software I need for my scanner. It's frustrating!

On the up-side I'm just waiting on lots of cards and prints of my drawings and paintings to be watch this space.

Different places I would like to live. Number one.

I visited Amsterdam last year. These are some photographs I took.
I liked it there a lot. I would like to see more of Holland.
I would also like to live on a house boat there for a wee bit. Preferably one with a little garden.
The buildings look like they're leaning up against each other, like someone has hammered a couple of extra ones in, squashing them all together. I went on a boat tour. I like boat tours.

Ready to find homes!....

Just lately I've been making some little fox and mouse brooches...

Here they are finished and attached to their labels.

Just a little bit of drawing with a pencil....

....and some painting. I'm really rubbish at looking after my paintbrushes. I really do try but they always end up looking a bit tatty.

I like crayons too.

I like laughing.

I laughed for ages when I saw this wonderful drawing by Bruna Guerreeiro at

You should definately take a peek at her website. I love her work.

This evening, I have mostly been enjoying.....

...Drawing bearded ladies.

I mentioned before about my ongoing struggles with drawing women. So I thought why not put the two genders together? Weird?
Maybe a little bit.

At the moment, I'm giving away a free gift with every purchase from my Etsy shop...
It could be an original drawing, a print, a little handmade creature,'s a surprise!

I'm A Bearded Lady, But I Don't Mind.

......She doesn't mind.

I like it when people sing to me.

A Christmas gift...

I was in a really good antiques warehouse just before Christmas and I spotted this rather lovely plastic drawer and jar set. I was however, doing Christmas shopping at the time so I didn't buy it for myself........which I instantly regretted when I got home.

Lo and behold on Christmas day I unwrapped a gift from my boyfriend and there it was!

I like the flowers, they remind me of kitchen wallpaper we had when i was little. It kind of foamy and I used to get in trouble for picking at it.

....The last thing added to the shop today are these three slightly shifty looking clouds.....

New framed creatures in my shop...

I like seeing my little creatures in their frames on a wall.

Julia and Beatrice (above) are now for sale in my little shop!

It's framing time!

One thing on my to-do-list for 2011 is to make more things for my ETSY shop, and to make better use of my time in general. I think these things go together rather well .

At the moment I'm framing some of my recent soft sculptures, which will then be for sale in m shop. I always feel a bit mean putting them in a frame....

Also, don't you think 2011 sounds really futuristic? If I was 8, I'd have imagined silver space clothes.

Happy New Year...

I'm rather excited about this year...
