A lovely surprise...

Well well well...  I just discovered the artwork of Lee May Foster-Wilson.
She really is a multi-talented lady. She not only produces beautiful, lyrical paintings....
She also makes jewellery, clothing, accessories and screen prints. She is also a very good horse rider. (Which I always have respect for-I once had a bad experience on a horse up a mountain in Honduras, so I always think people who can ride are very clever).

Instead of me babbling about her... You should look at her wonderful website and see for yourself.

Here are some of my favourite images. I'm saving my pennies for the scarf. There's something rather mystical and nostalgic about her work...for me anyway. I cant quite put my finger on it.

Packed!

I have been rather busy over the last week, making all of these little creatures. They are hand sewn from calico and painted...
They are all ready now in their frames to be taken to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, along with some prints and cards. They are having an exhibition there on the 8th of April and I'm excited for my work to be included....

I hope it is sunny tomorrow, as I'm spending the day there and I love it! I think I'll take a picnic. I thoroughly recommend going there if you haven't already been.

Ooh I say!

I do rather like these lovely items from LilyMoon.

She likes to make these lovely badges and boats made from sweet wrappers. She also like to watch people smile, which I think is a lovely thing to like.

You can visit her shop here.

Go on!

Monday 21 March 2011

What a nice day.

The weather as been beautiful today.

Here you can see Charlotte and her family. They are now all ready in their frames
to go to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

I made the barn owl this evening. I'm not sure of her name yet....

Now I'm just in the process of making a cow.

I hope you have had a nice day!

At the moment...

At the moment I am making frames for Charlotte and her deer family. I'm not sure she likes it....

Charlotte.

Meet Charlotte. I made her the day before yesterday.

I'm not sure if she needs more detail on her costume. She'll soon be put in a frame ready to be sent to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, which I'm pretty excited about.

I nearly forgot...

The lovely blog kickcanandconkers.blogspot.com/ did a lovely little feature about me the other day. I was very pleased and excited to discover it. You can see it here.

I like being outside.

The other day I went for a nice big woodland walk with my boyfriend and saw a rather large white chalk horse up on a hill. We climbed a tree and had cheese sandwiches.

I also saw Jenny Wren, my favourite type of bird.

Some Tents.

I am very ready for the warmer weather so I can go camping. I can't wait to build fires and find waterfalls. If you didn't already know, you can now also find my work for sale at

along with some other lovely artists.

I liked Dublin.

I like many things about Dublin.

Tuesday 1 March 2011

I would like one please.

I just discovered a lovely shop called PlanetFur on Etsy. This clever lady is from The Netherlands and she makes funny little animals from felt. The narwhal at the top is my favourite. Apprently they use their tusks to communicate with each other. I would like one as a pet.

You can find her shop here.
