Some Exciting News.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry about my lack of blog posts recently. I have been a bit of a busy bee.
I'm rather excited about my new 'not on the high street' online shop.......

The lovely people approached me a while ago and I'm so pleased it's finally finished. I found that taking decent photographs of my work was quite a tricky job, especially as a lot of my drawings are quite delicate. I think I have finally got the hang of it though.

Do pop by and have a look!

I am so pleased to be part of the Old School Exhibiton at SMUG.
The images in my previous post will be available to buy as greetings cards. How nice! If you're in the area, do pop by.

Lots of things.

I have been a terrible blogger of late. I just can't seem to find the time to fit everything into my life at the moment. I am however trying to be a little more organised from now on, so you can expect to see more things popping up on this blog in the coming weeks.
I have been busy designing a new stationery range for my 'not on the high street' shop, which will be appearing soon......

I am also really pleased to be a part of SMUG's pop up print shop this year.
If you haven't already, check out their website. It's a wonderful shop!

Here is a sneak peak of the work I have submitted.

I can't quite believer it's nearing the end of September. It's my 26th birthday soon. I always thought I'd be a wee bit taller by this time, but oh well!

I read a wonderful book today.

It is called

The Kites Are Flying

and it's written by

Michael Morpurgo.

It has beautiful illustrations in it by

Laura Carlin.

They compliment the story so beautifully.

I thoroughly recommend it.

I feel like a busy snail.

Well.

It certainly has been a while since I blogged. I seem to be so busy at the moment, yet I feel so behind on lots of things! It's odd.

Here is a sneak peak of some new wedding designs for my shop on notonthehighstreet.com.

I have been trying to capture some good photographs of the new range. It's quite tricky!

In other news, I have a new car, which actually feels safe to drive. I was rather attached to my old green citroen, but parts of it kept falling off, and it was making some strange noises. My new car has POWER steering, which is a novelty.

I recently watched a film called Amores Perros.
I bought the dvd ages ago and have only just found the time to watch it. It's brilliant; I thoroughly recommend it.

Hello!

I haven't blogged for a while. I have been so very busy, but that's no excuse I know.

I was delighted to have been featured on a lovely wedding blog the other day. My wedding invitations are really picking up and I'm really excited about it.

You can see the feature here:

The lovely people at www.notonthehighstreet.com invited me to sell with them, so I have been developing some new designs to go onto my new shop there..... I will be able to show you very soon.

Hello, I have been a bit of a bad blogger at the moment.
I have been busy working on various wedding projects, which is good fun.

I have some new cards in my Etsy shop. You can see them here.

You can also receive free shipping, by using the code SAILAWAY.

But sshh, don't tell everyone!

I like drawing and singing.

I drew these pictures in my back garden.

I'm thinking about making a book about this little girl.

Sunshine.

I had a lovely day drawing in my back garden yesterday, with two ducks that have decided to move in, and a wood pecker we've named Percy.

I have yet to scan the new drawings, so before I do that I wanted to show you a little interview I did for a blog called 'Angel In The North'.

It's mostly about my new range of wedding stationery.

Drawings.

Here are some new drawings!

I am thinking about developing them into a series or a book.

I like going on little trips.

A few weekends ago, Mark and I went to Bruges on the ferry.

What a wonderful city.

The ferry trip was pretty fun. There were some good signs to look at....if you like signs.

Our hotel was beautiful. It was full of muted tones and antique furniture. We got our room upgraded. It pays to be polite!

I spotted this little building from a canal boat. The only think I could see inside it was a tree. I like to think it is someone's reading room.

The smallest tea cup and milk jug.

A shiny new website.

Hello everyone.

I have some exciting news.

A very clever man called James Shedden has just finished making my website for me. I'm thrilled with how it looks.

Here it is!

I will be adding new work from time to time, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Also, if I were you, I would take a peek at James Shedden's work. It's just super.

I went to Bruges last weekend on the ferry and had a wonderful time. I will put some photographs on here very soon. It's a beautiful place, full of pretty buildings, divine chocolate and strong beer.

I could smell Spring in the air yesterday, which is also exciting.

Photographs.

Recently, I have mostly been taking photographs of my new wedding stationary range, (along with watching The Fast Show). I find it rather tricky. Hopefully if I keep going I will get some good ones. So if you know anyone who would be interested in my stationary; please send them my way!

In other news, here is a commission I made for a nice man from America. I've never made a tree before but I was pleased with the result, and so was he!

I can't wait until it's warm enough to go camping.

I do love camping, especially on the beach.

Bright colours please.

Patterns.

It was grey outside yesterday.

I remembered how much I enjoy painting with gouache. Continuing with my 'patterns' project, I decided to bring some bright colours into the equation. The bottom image is a book cover design for a book I intend to read soon.
